Parish Groups
Altar Guild – The women of the St. Thomas More Altar invite every woman in the parish to be a member. Join them in caring for the Religious Goods Store and in celebrating St. Nicholas day and St. Thomas More’s feast. They pray together each Lent with a Day of Reflection, October Living Rosary and yearly Retreat. The Guild has been meeting consistently since the founding of the church! Knights of Columbus – Men from our parish join with the Our Lady of Fatima Council in Oak Lawn. The Knights are an international group of men who raise funds for charity and urge one another to good deeds as Catholic gentlemen. Contact John Chesna at 708-636-4382.
The World Apostolate of Fatima – This group gathers to honor Our Lady each First Saturday at the 8:30 AM Mass to receive Holy Communion and pray the rosary according to the revelations of Our Lady of Fatima. Contact the Blue Army Center at 708-489-6055.
Respect Life – The group works to end the holocaust of unborn babies in our nation and in the world. The Rosary of Life each Saturday morning after the 8:30 AM Mass. Contact Gussie Zawaski at 708-424-2011.
Carmelite Sisters The Carmelite Sisters along with Sister Catherine Palmisano OP staff the convent and help the parish with their prayers and their volunteer efforts. The Carmelite Sisters teach in Catholic Schools and carry on the good work they did as teachers at the former St. Thomas More School.
Religious Goods Store – The store is located in the east vestibule of the church and is open each Third Sunday for religious objects, candles and St. Thomas More memorabilia. You can pay with PayPal or your credit card!
